Any Graduate with minimum 45 % marks at qualifying examination for General Category students and 40 % marks at qualifying examination for Students belonging to SC and ST category.

Note: Those candidates who have appeared at final year exam and results are awaited may also apply and appear in Entrance Examination.


LL.B. (General) or LL.B. (Special) or 5 years Law degree course from the University or an examination equivalent thereto of any Statutory University in India with at least 50% marks or equivalent grades can apply for the Entrance Test.

B.A. LL.B. (Hons):

10+2 with minimum 45% marks in XII Standard for General Category & 40% marks in XII Standard for SC/ST Category Candidate.

Note: Those candidates who have appeared for XII standard exam and results are awaited may also apply and appear in Entrance Examination. English should be one of the subjects in the qualifying examination.

  1. Aspirants wanting to take admission in MSU Baroda have to visit the official website of the University for applying online.
  2. The candidate needs to read the instructions carefully before applying.
  3. The link of the course the candidate is interested in needs to be selected to take admission.
  4. The details then need to be filled correctly.
  5. The candidate then needs to upload the scanned copies of signature, passport size photograph and the other documents.
  6. Lastly, take a print of the online filled application form for future reference.

    Available Payment Methods:

    The candidate needs to pay the online registration fees using personal Debit or Credit card or Net Banking of self or relatives,apart from Bank of Baroda Challan.

The admit card for the test is available on the university website from where the candidates can download it.

Tentatively, the exam is conducted in the mid of June every year (15th of June in 2016). It’s a paper based test.

For LL.B/B.A.LL.B:

The Entrance Test shall be a written test consisting of two hours and will carry 200 marks. (Scheme: 100 objective questions of 2 mark each). There will be no negative marking for the wrong answers. The objective questions shall be asked from the following areas:

  • Mental aptitude and Logical Reasoning
  • Legal aptitude
  • English
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs

For B.B.A.:

The written test would be of two hours and generally consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions of 01 mark each from the prescribed area such as English Language Proficiency, Data Interpretation, Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Problem Solving and General Awareness with equal weightage of 20 marks. There shall be No Negative Marking in the Written Test.

The candidates who clear the Written Test are required appear for Creative Writing, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Criteria for Creative Writing (Extempore), Group Discussion /Personal Interview

  • Creative Writing (Extempore):

    With a view to assess skill in written communication and presentation, language proficiency and extempore flow of thoughts, it is proposed to test candidates in terms of ‘Creative Writing’(Extempore), as one of the stages of the entrance test of the BBA Programme, having total weightage of 10 marks. Candidates shall be given topic for Creative Writing (extempore) in the examination hall and are required to write on the topic in not more than 200 words, within 20 minutes, in English language only.

  • Group Discussion:

    Group discussion is introduced as one of the criteria for F.Y.B.B.A admission; with effect from the academic year 2016-17.The Topics for Group Discussion shall be announced on the day of Written Test to the candidates.

  • Personal Interview:

    Each candidate shall be required to appear before the Interview Panel for the Personal Interview.

The entrance test is conducted in the university itself at Baroda.

The students appearing for the test have to carry their admit card along with an ORIGINAL ID Proof. The admit card and the ID will be checked before entering the examination hall.

Important Instructions:

  1. Candidates NOT CARRYING ORIGINAL Identity Card shall NOT BE ALLOWED inside the test center.

Exam papers for the test conducted in previous years aren’t available. If any student comes across any papers which are available except from the website, then don’t consider it to be authentic.

The result is available online of the institute website under the respective department in notifications. It’s a merit list in which the candidates scores are also mentioned.
