Liberal Studies

The concept of liberal studies is new in India but many Universities like PDPU, FLAME and Jindal Global University have started offering such courses and the demand is steadily growing, especially amongst student who don’t prefer technical education but would also not settle for a run-of-the-mill humanities program. Liberal studies career options are fast emerging. The charm of liberal studies is the ability to pick and choose the subjects you like.

Liberal studies comprise studying Humanities, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Arts. Bachelors in Liberal Studies or Liberal Arts include subjects like literature and language studies, mathematics, visual and performing arts, physical education, history and social sciences, science and human development, etc. One needs to have the potential to study for long hours and retain the read material to excel in this curriculum.

A degree in Liberal Arts enhances the abilities of individuals to comprehend, judge, communicate and take action about the nature, quality and conditions of their lives. It also develops soft skills such as leadership, team work, critical thinking and problem solving. It is based on a strong theoretical and conceptual framework. Graduating in this domain opens many doors of opportunities for the student for further studies or career.   • Pass grade or 60% marks in Std. 12 (10+2 or equivalent examination) depending upon college.

Each college has a separate procedure for admissions. They either have an entrance exam, followed by personal interview or give admissions on basis of the 12th Std. marks of the student or a combination of both.

  • Most exams are held from the last week of April to the first or second week of June.
  • Notifications are published in leading newspapers from 1st week of December
  • The application process for most of colleges end by 31st March

We have five programs for Post 12th Liberal Stiudies Entrance Exam Preparation – 2 Year, 1 Year, Crash, Crash Extended and Correspondence Programmes.
